After 15 years owning a holiday home we started to plan for a permanent residency in Algarve. Then we had two options, either we find a plot to build a completely new house, or we find an architect that can transform our holiday home to the specs we were after. After some research we found John Wilson and his team on recommendations, and from the first sketch they provided we received we felt convinced investing in a complete makeover. They really understood what we wanted, and it contains a complete renovation and new construction. Throughout the process John and his team have been super supportive and we highly recommend Bespoke for anyone who wants to build new or transform an old house to something completely new.

Nevertheless the first project had to be put on hold because of reasons beyond their control, they started working on another project with full enthusiasm and a wonderful result! They were also very responsive to input we gave them.

Firstly, John has always been extremely helpful, giving valuable advice long before we made the move to Portugal and since. He has always given us a thorough insight into the workings of the planning system, regulations, building process, etc.
When we eventually started a building project there were a few issues along the way with the building contractor but Paulo, the architect in charge from Bespoke, was our saviour. He gave us a great deal of confidence as he handled changes within the project, dealing with amendments to planning approval, communication with various official entities etc., at a time which might otherwise have been a very daunting task.
We cannot thank the Bespoke team enough. Their designs are amazing, they operate very efficiently and are always friendly and professional. The whole team go above and beyond to be of help at every stage of considering and planning a project.

I'm an architect myself. Although I haven't worked as an architect for many years, I have retained my high design standards.

After talking with more architects we came in contact with John from Bespoke Architects. From the moment we discussed our plans, the feeling with this company and John as a person, felt right.
